Bryan Senior High School is hosting a shoe collection drive starting October 2nd and ending December 7th. The goal is to collect 3,000 gently used shoes of all types to benefit individuals who are trying to promote economic diversity within their local communities. Bryan High’s softball program will receive a monetary donation for each pound of shoes collected. The proceeds earned from collection will go to the softball team to purchase uniforms, provide team building events, invest in new equipment and purchase food for the team when they travel. The Bryan High School Softball Team looks at this as being a mutually beneficial experience for everyone that helps. You get a chance to get rid of unwanted clothing, it goes to benefit people that are at an economic disadvantage and the softball team can continue to have life enriching experiences.
Who? – You can help the Bryan Softball Program
What? – Gently used shoes of all types. Sorry, we cannot accept roller blades, ice skates, or your mowing shoes. The shoes cannot have problems with the structure or the fabric. If you wouldn’t wear them yourself or buy them, please don’t give them to us.
When? – The collection runs from October 2 – December 7th.
Where? – You can bring donations to Bryan High School. Collection bins can be found in the main office. The softball team will also be holding special events to collect shoes, so keep your eyes open for additional opportunities to donate.
Why? – It is an exciting and fun way to raise funds for our team without needing someone to buy something or give us money.
